Washington Vacation Packages

By BootsnAll | February 23rd, 2009

Washington DC isn’t an obvious destination for some people, partly because the city has a mixed reputation as being a bit run down in certain spots. But don’t let those older generalizations steer you away from one of the United States’ most interesting areas.

First off, the central part of Washington DC, which contains the business disrict, most of the hotels, and all the important monuments, has been polished up in the last couple decades, and now it sparkles like Disneyland through most of the area. There have always been great 4-star business hotels serving the city, but now it’s also easy to find good deals on really nice budget hotels that are ideal for tourists.

Most of the monuments and the many museums that are part of the Smithsonian Institution are free to enter, so once you get to Washington it’s possible to not spend much more while staying entertained. There is also great shopping and dining, as well as one of the best nightlife scenes in the country, so you’ll never run out of interesting things to do, day or night.

With 3 major airports serving the city, it’s usually quite easy to find a good deal, and the always-updated feed to the left is a great place to start. It’s always a snapshot of the best bargains we could find, so if you don’t see something that works right now, come back soon to see if something new works instead.
